Point development email at the sandbox
The MailAfrica sandbox accepts SMTP connections using credentials for your account. Configure a development environment to use the sandbox host and credentials instead of your live sending setup.
Sandbox messages are captured for inspection and are not delivered to the real internet. The sandbox is a test destination, not a substitute for a production sending identity.
Inspect a message before launch
Send an email from the application feature you are developing. Review the stored sandbox message and check recipients, headers, text, HTML, and attachments. This can catch formatting issues and confirm that the right code path generated a message.
Keep test and production credentials separate. Regenerate sandbox credentials if they are exposed or no longer suitable for the team using them.
Move to live sending deliberately
When the message content is ready, configure a production sending domain, complete its DNS verification, and switch the application to its live API credential. Keep the sandbox available for development and staging workflows.
Product details can change. Check the current MailAfrica API documentation for endpoint behavior and payload schemas.
